John has enjoyed a successful career in the financial planning and services sector since 1987. He specialises in advising small and medium sized companies helping them protect and create wealth within their business. John also helps business owners design their exit strategies in line with their personal goals.
A retirement planning specialist, John advises people between the ages of 40 and 65. His passion is helping people like this create a regular stream of income in retirement to give them the lifestyle they want. John looks after clients in Newport, Cardiff & Swansea and the South Wales Valleys.
Originally from the Bridgend area, John now lives with his son Owen and partner Vicky in the village of Miskin. In his spare time he plays golf and is an avid rugby fan.
Samantha Durkan Dip PFS Certs CII (MP&ER)
Paraplanner and Client Relationship Manager
Sam has worked in the Financial Services industry since 2001. She began her career in mortgages, where she became an underwriter. Sam progressed into mainstream financial services soon after. She and worked for John Davies before he founded Clifton Nash where she joined him at their main office near Cardiff.
Sam is responsible for a range of tasks, including the office management, technical researching and reporting. Most importantly, Sam is the firm’s Client Relationship Manager. She acts as a daily contact point for clients’ queries and enquiries.
Sam is a huge film buff and loves building her DVD collection, which numbers thousands.
Vicky George:Accounts Manager and Administrator
Vicky’s inputs all the financial transactions into an accounts system and creates reports for the partners and clients. She plays a vital role in the company and has over 20 years experience within the financial planning and services industry.
Vicky lives near the Clifton Nash offices with partner John. She enjoys going to the gym, tracing her family history and working with a local charity.
